Was going to make a thread asking this, but I know too many crypto threads piss off the normies
Anyway, can one or two of you OGs break down the relative safety of having your money sit for any length of time in a stable like USDT for me
The hypothetical, let’s say, is rolling gains out of some projects while you wait for a better entry on something like BTC or ETH. Again, just a hypothetical. But would you trust your money during a turbulent phase of the market for any serious length of time, say maybe 6mo - a year even?
Ive never really explored the risk of certain stables losing their peg/value in rough waters

There's some fear mongering about some of the USD coins out there, some warranted, most not. I'm personally never in there long enough to care as I try not to time the market.
If you're going to do it for 6mo to a year, why not just convert it back to USD on an exchange
