Defense and security of the nation are part and parcel to the function of a government. If it did not provide these things, it would be pointless.
Healthcare, currently, is necessarily the byproduct of someone's labor. By claiming you have a right to healthcare, you are claiming a right to someone's labor, which is antithetical to the concept of a "free" society.
Until we have Star Trek level magic technology which can heal people, healthcare is not a right.
