I get that some people might want to make themselves attractive to potential employers and slamming your former employer isn't the best way to do that, but one would think that out of 100 or so talking heads, one would be vocal about their displeasure. It looked like Kannell was about to go off but then he dialed it back. I know that if I lost my job of 15 years while someone like Heather Dinnich was kept on, the world would know how pissed I was.

It has been pretty public that cuts were coming. All of these people saw the staffers get the axe last year.

So imagine that:
A. working for ESPN was pretty cool so they are grateful
B. they don't want to burn bridges.
C: probably some writing in the severance that says it's better not to talk

They're also not lying. For people working in sports journalism/broadcasting, ESPN is THE dream job, not only in America but the world. They got to live a dream that 99% of people in the profession never get.

And by the way, they're all going to find good jobs afterwards.
