It's not really about a statue, per say. It's the fact that the statues are only the beginning. Once the statues are gone, there will be another cause de jour that will be of equal "importance" that will involve destroying more innocuous items that they claim are the cause of societal strife. They just want to watch the world burn. That's it.

My bad I somehow misread whoever I applied to. I meant to ask the question to ppl who demand the statues be taken down
