Lol, how much do you expect to pay for this? It takes time for someone to drive to your location, take you, in a city 0.8 miles could take 10 minutes, and then drive back to their waiting point. Plus you needed to use their car. I mean what did you expect to pay? $4, $5? Come on I hope not $2-3 that's absurd? So let's say $4, you are pissy about $2?

To the OP, yeah no way I'd take a ride with someone other than the Uber registered person driving. I'd leave a comment for sure and give a 1 star rating. They are likely

Uber normally has a $5 base charge, because the $1 actual fare (that the driver doesn't receive all of) isn't worth it for them to drive a few miles out of their way for a .8 mile trip.
