People have bad days. Unless you asked, just assume the real driver had an illness or possibly a family issue.

Sounds like no matter what, he gutted it out and made sure you would be services.

Yeah sure, better call them about 2 hours in advance and they show up if someone feels like it with which you have no way of knowing unless you call every 15 minutes.

You realize that someone accepted this trip 5-15 mins before this, right? If the guy wasn't feeling well, he shouldn't have accepted the fare. They aren't "on the clock" like a regular cab.
