Might have had to take a dump away from his tree.
As to surroundings, I can show you tons if places that look exactly like that around here. Here being very near the Tensas River NWR.
I do question the tongue not flickering, tho.

There's another video from him in the comments section where he tries to get it to leave by hitting it with a stick. It's definitely moving and rattling in that one.
