Admittedly I don't have to use a bear canister on the AT but I used an Osprey Aether 45.

Yea, it's required in Yosemite and one other NP I think. Just a pain in the arse is really all it is. I don't see why an Ursack strung up wouldn't be enough.
I wish I could go 45...Looked at a 48, but there's no way that would be enough space.
