There are really only four really bad months: December through March. Summers are beautiful. Definitely live in the west Minneapolis area. Eden Prairie, Minnetonka, Wayzata, Plymouth, etc.
Minnesota always ranks very high in quality of life while Louisiana ranks towards the bottom. Great health care, many lakes, breweries, schools are fantastic, etc.
