Thanks cru-cru, That's exactly how I see it. When I go I like giving high fives, love to see the good hitters hit which leads to good defensive plays--more high fives. Just want to enjoy good hitting and good defense and have fun. I do not want college ball to be like pro ball.

Good hitters still hit. Good hitters can hit with anything you put in their hands. Ralph Rhymes would of hit base hits up the middle with a stick and bottle caps. What the new bats and balls took out was the mediocre hitters with some pop in their bat. People talk about Papierski on this board a lot. Think about how many balls he has hit to the warning track. Those are home runs with the old bats. He would be considered a decent to good hitter if some of those balls went over the fence.
It is similar to basketball changing the three point line. Pure shooters can make a three no matter where you put that line but inconsistent shooters would struggle with just that minor change.
