Is meth so amazing that doing it once for a healthy, stable adult is impossible?

I only did it once. A friend has some 'glass' and I wanted to see what the buzz was like. And yeah, the first 45 minutes or an hour is amazing. But after that I was so charged up and my mind was racing so fast I swear I could feel my brain cells dying. Was glad when about 10 hours later I came down. I'd only snorted a little bitty line and was amazed at the potency. An equivalent amount of cocaine powder wouldn't have had hardly any effect.

I'm naturally pretty hyper and it just didn't appeal to me, fortunately. Never had the desire to do it again.

Ate adderall a couple times and same thing. Just not my bag at all.

Maybe it was because I was a little older (early 30s), because by that point I just liked feelimg normal and not all fricked up. And I'd seen a couple acquaintances lose just about everything from getting hooked on it, and that always stayed in my mind.

Saw homeless people smoking meth pipes out in the open on the sidewalks of San Francisco this past Thursday night when I went to a concert downtown. fricking wild.

Throw out the addictive part of it, meth just seems too risky in terms of how it was cooked. I am sure not everyone who cooks it is Mr. White from Breaking Bad. Of course I don't really know the details. Can you look at meth and know if it was cooked a certain way.. Whether it has or doesn't have certain ingredients, etc?
