Motorguide 4300, about 14 years old, original to boat. On 16' Basstracker. Never any problems before, moved the boat around just fine. Yesterday would hardly move on highest setting. Battery fairly new and was at full charge.
Am i screwed, is it just dying and I need a new one? or there something internal that could be wrong and fixable?
Thanks

First I would try it on another battery just to make sure it wasn't a bad battery. I've had almost brand new batteries crap out. Then I would look at the switch internally. I've heard of the same situation and the switch was bad. You think you are in full power but the trolling motor is only activating upto maybe 1/4 power.

Put a meter on your battery. Try the motor on another battery. If it doesn't work, 14 years is a hell of a life for a trolling motor.
