What is the right grass for my lawn?

Looking to resod my backyard in Mandeville.
Had a bobcat in the backyard to remove bamboo and cut down two trees, so 2/3 of the lawn is gone. I am going to have to spread 3-4 dump truck loads of River Sand to fill in the holes left from the bamboo and to relevel the yard (drainage was terrible).
Mostly good sunlight in the backyard, but have an Oak Tree in the back corner of the yard. The main concern is that I have a 120 lb lab who likes to run in the backyard and tears up the yard pretty good. What would be the best grass type? Looking for wear resistance and decent shade tolerance.

Concrete looks really good during the summer, especially in a backyard
You don't have to cut it

Or Astroturf like the Brady Bunch house.

St Aug. And keep the canopy on your oak raised so that it gets filtered light, St Aug will still grow under it.

Not AstroTurf, but I wonder if we will ever get to a point where people actually use the new type of artificial turf for their front yards
I'd imagine it's pretty popular out west where they have droughts and need to conserve water, but would it ever catch on in the south?

Sounds like St. Aug it is. Backyard is about 3500 sq ft. Got a quote for about $2000 for sod, delivery, and placement. Gonna have to find a way to get that done for a cheaper price.

Could plug it or just partially sod
