Same for me. I grew up on Lake Guntersville, where hydrilla used to be very prominent. Punching through it was was usually successful. I moved out here to Texas a few years ago, and there a lot more milfoil and they don't like it as much. My guess is it has to do with oxygen levels in the water, and hydrilla provides more cover from prey.
