SFP says there are two friend zones. I think the first is where you're kind of shut down immediately and everyone knows their role, so it's on the guy if he proceeds with it after that point. But, the manipulative one where you're kept on a string for emotional and other support she's not getting elsewhere and you seemingly have a chance is the killer one.
