You expected him to get sharper in his old age? Love the quote, though. It's truly funny and funny cuz it's true.

If you legitimately believe that Bush is anything short of a smart person, you're the dumbest person I've come across this week.

And Trump is well on his way to beefing up the military more than Bush ever did in 8 years.

Yet he was too yellow to actually serve his country as a member of our armed forces. Real easy to flex your muscles when you're 70 years old and know you don't have to put your life on the line. A real American hero.

Tough crowd. I guess being sent to military school doesn't count.

Yes, while Americans were dying in Vietnam, Bush was deployed to the war zones of Houston, TX and Montgomery, AL.

From the Boston Globe:
quote:

It was an era when service in the Guard was a coveted assignment, often associated with efforts to avoid active duty in Vietnam. Bush was accepted for pilot training after having scored only 25 percent on the pilot's aptitude test, the lowest acceptable grade.

In 2000, the Boston Globe examined a period from May 1972 to May 1973 and found no record that Bush performed any Guard duties, either in Alabama or Houston, although he was still enlisted.

According to military records obtained by The Washington Post, Bush first requested and received permission in May 1972 to be transferred to the Alabama National Guard so he could work on a U.S. Senate campaign. After he was in Alabama, he received notice from the Guard personnel center that he was "ineligible" for the Air Reserve Squadron he requested.

In August 1972, Bush was suspended from flying because he failed to complete an annual medical exam. A month later, Bush requested to be assigned to a different unit in Alabama and was approved. Although he was required to attend periodic drills in Alabama, there is no official record in his file that he did.

I'm sure Bush's elite family connections played absolutely no role in securing his cushy role in the Texas Air National Guard.

Yet he had no issue sending Americans to fight and die in Iraq. Not to mention spending around $800 Billion dollars to do so, according to the Department of Defense.

I consider George W Bush to be a shameful failure that cost his country dearly in blood and treasure. You are still paying for those costs of blood and treasure and will continue to do so for lifetimes.

As part of the royal Bush family that is intimately intertwined with the house of Saud, he didn't do much to earn his post. He was placed in the Whitehouse just as Bill and Barry were.

He will be fighting it out with Barry for the title of worst president in history till the end of time.

Trump defeated the machine that "places" the anointed ones in power. He is ten times the man Dubya ever hoped to be.

Underboss George W. Bush and Boss George HW Bush of the Bush Crime Family won't like it of course

Tired of the media which intentionally humanizes these evil men. W going onto the Tonight Show to be humanized and look like an innocent old geezer who wouldn't hurt a fly, to try and have us all forget that he is an evil man, as is his father, who is constantly humanized and tried to turn into a sympathetic figure with his ongoing health issues.

The Bush Crime Family didn't care. They know they profitted personally from the war in Iraq as well as their cronies.

Defense contractors and Israel/Israeli Interests were the big winners of the Iraq War. Taxpayers, the Middle East and our military were the losers.

I believe it.

I almost feel like we deserve what's happening in the World because we put those idiots in power. Our Congress voted for his "War on Terror".

Probably the only time Dick Cheney ever told the truth is when he was asked how long he thought the "War on Terror" would last.He answered,"Forever".

eta: The reason W Bush has "popped up" is because he's selling a book.He actually said that.

Exactly.

That war, in which he glories, although I wish, how I wish he would put on a hat and pick up a gun, and go and fight himself. How I wish to see that sight. That war in which Bush and the neocons glory has cost the lives, according to the Lancet, of well in excess of half a million people. And hundreds of thousands more have been maimed and wounded. And it was all for a PACK OF LIES. There were no weapons of mass destruction. There was no link between Iraq and al-Qaeda, there was no link between Iraq and the atrocities of 9-11. There was no welcome for the foreign armies that invaded Iraq. And there are 4,000 young Americans LYING IN THE GROUND NOW. And thousands and thousands more, wounded, maimed, many of them in wheelchairs, for the rest of their lives. All testament to the folly of Bush and the rest of the neocon gang that dragged America into this disaster.

The world has been made a more dangerous place. And not just for us but for generations to come. How was devastating Iraq and balkanizing the world's biggest oil fields supposed to make the world a safer and more stable place. There is scarcely a sentient being in the land who any longer believes that the war on Iraq was either necessary or just or a good idea.

Remember the failures of the political establishment and intelligence community. Never forget them.
