When it comes to making changes to the status quo tax baseline, I prefer to tax the wealthy as opposed to the poor or middle class.
I don't believe in the "trickle down" supply side philosophy. I believe that hiring and investment are business decisions and that very wealthy people's financial decisions are not really impacted by having a few extra dollars in their pocket.
