They definitely say wait until 6 months, but I don't think to awful to try earlier. I just don't think every kid is exactly the same. We did it at around 4-5 months and it took quickly. If I was having the same results as the OP, I would possibly wait a few more weeks.

I'll admit we all act like our solution is the best, 100% proven method. But reality is you have to figure out what works for you. Not every kid will be the same.
