I love Scott, but he's a fricking a-hole more often than not. On the flip side, most of the people that pour beer there are the nicest you'll ever meet. Also, I hope you realize that most of the time when they refuse to fill a growler it's because Scott made that decision.

They offered to fill any growler today.
Usually they don't fill it it is limited release.
Don't blame him. I respect how it isn't all about dollars and producing another Blonde or bullshite Lager. The guy is satisfied with showing up and being the neighborhood brewery and going home at night after doing what he wants to do.
Same reason I shop at my corner hardware store instead of Home Depot. That and they let me bring my beer in.
Limiting a growler is like limiting people to a 4pk or parish only letting two crawlers out the door.
