Schedule, price, quality... modular homes have a lot to offer over traditional construction. I'm surprised they aren't more popular.
I don't know how flexible they are with footprints though, I al not sure you can get a real custom shape with little kick offs and nooks.

you cant make genuine footprint alterations...it defeats the purpose of building modular. on the inside though you can finish out to whatever you want
i build shite for a living...i know what most framing jobs look like. factory assembled modular walls, trusses, roofs and other structural members are 100% more likely to be plumb/level/structurally sound, and modular construction in the field takes a fraction of the time. electrical and plumbing rough-in cost savings alone are worth it
