Please explain what is meant when someone posts "Germans"?

Like others have said it just means old news or something that's already been posted.
Back in the day when someone would post old news, someone may reply with "We landed on the moon!" or "Japs bomb Pearl Harbor" and even "Dewey defeats Truman!"
"Japs bomb Pear Harbor" morphed into "Germans bomb Pearl Harbor" a reference to Bluto's famous line in Animal House.
People started to short hand that as "Germans" and now people even have variations of that.
It's a very board specific gag, so don't go to other websites or message boards and replying to old news as "Germans!"

Yes, its old news, or something that is posted on several thread already.
When this would happen some one say: Man walks on Moon, Japs bomb Pearl Harbor etc. That morphed into Germans bomb Pearl Harbor, which is taken form a classic scene in Animal House.

From what I understand, in the movie "Animal House" John Belushi is quoted as incorrectly saying something like "...when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor." refering to something that was old news (but of course the Japaneese bombed PH not the Germans!)
Anyway, on this board if someone posts a link or news that has been posted here several times ...ranters type "Germans" to indicate old news!
