A suppressor knocks off 30db or so. So a gun at point blank is around 160db...a suppressor takes it down to around 130db, about the sound of a jet taking off.

yeah, good point. I didn't know about this scourge of suppressors about which she is speaking. I also know that it's not easy to obtain them the way the laws are now, and if you have a record, the only way you're getting one is by illegal means.
