Perhaps you shouldn't try to be a d!ck and internet badass so often. And I know your 4th grade reading education has taken you far in life, but I told you several times why I posted.

Why do I need a reason why you posted? You have made yourself look completely idiotic several times. My 4th grade reading education is excellent. Did you know people actually take time to learn the law in a state they reside?

Oh I'm sure they do, I just don't need to know the laws for that particular case. I'll let you guess why.

894 is still a thing but it will still be on your record unless you hire an attorney to complete the expungement.
Some lawyers in some jurisdictions can get it reduced to careless operation if the defendant didn't do or say anything rude. If you run your mouth the cop makes a note on the back of the ticket and you are done.

You can plead guilty to DUI under 894, complete your probation early (where they allow it), then immediately get your drivers license back when the Court dismisses the DUI under 894.
In these cases, the defendant will due all the classes and community service before the plea. I've seen a plea, then dismissal, then restoration of drivers license in a week or less.

You don't need an attorney to do an expungement. The Clerk of Court will walk you through it if you're nice enough. I did my own. No way I was giving my shitty lawyer any more money.

Is 894 the same as pleading youthful offender?
Posted on 3/19/17 at 8:21 pm to BoddaBoom7
quote:No, it is similar to a "deferred adjudication" in other states. Under 894, if the defendant successfully completes his probation, the defendant can ask the court to dismiss the case, in effect, a retroactive dismissal.

If you have a DUI with an 894 dismissal, you can still be charged in La. with a DUI 2 (using the 894 DUI as the first) if you get a second DUI charge within ten years.

Ah thanks. I know in AL youthful offender only seals the record not expunges it. Thanks.
