If we trade next years 1st round to move up and get Garrett (probably won't be enough) or even trade next years, whatever pick (2/3) to get Thomas or Barnett, Then I would say that we are going all in for this year.

I am not proposing that we do this, but these actions will show that this is an all in year.

some people view being "all-in" as just doing all you can to get the best players through FA and draft but that isn't the definition of being "all-in".

I don't know why they think that? that's not "all-in" thats just common sense doing your job to field the best team you can.

"all-in" is an extreme measure meaning putting all you have on the line by selling out your whole chance at any future success just for benefiting this one years chance of trying to get to the superbowl at any and all costs..

we went "all-in" to get ricky Williams when Ditka gave up the whole draft to get him. that's an "all-in" type of move.

had we gone out and signed d'ante hightower to a $15 million per year contract or something as extreme as that, then that would be all-in move.

far too many people on here are confusing regular normal everyday business "just trying to win" moves we are making as somehow being all-in but its not.

just because we are "finally" making smarter decisions of who we go after and the contracts we are signing with them. that's just making smart moves, that's not all-in.

we just we finally have smarter people doing talent evaluation but we haven't made any moves so far to say the are making any desperation "all-in" moves
