I do not think Pudge is better...
I think that Pudge was a great defensive catcher but I also do not think he was better than young Benito Santiago (overall career yes), Yadi, or Bench.

Also Yadi is not now defensively what he was several years ago. I realize you're just saying this stuff to be edgy though so I'll stop
