Well I would be shocked if they don't get a QB in the draft

why would they? there are much better options out there as FA and the QBs in the draft are far from stellar prospects.

Watson and trebisky I can see taking a flier on but im not expecting them to be successful starters for at least a year or two

bunch,

1) if Cooks is worth 32, the same pick, then so is Butler. Butler is a better player at a harder position to find. Cooks has a better contract. We also have the pick swap that favors our end. How the frick can you keep saying this is a terrible deal?

2)who da hell do you have so much faith in to play CB for us this year?

I'm hype AF.

Butler and 2015 Breaux is the best combo we've had in the Payton era.

Nail that pass rusher at pick 11 and Breaux is healthy, conservatively, we win the super bowl.

Greer and Porter have something to say about that. Something the Falcons will never have.

But hopefully they can rival them.

I love Porter man, but he had a brief career as a good CB. I think Breaux and Butler are better players.

Greer is a Saints legend....and so is Porter for his moments in the sun.

Porter was still a good starter after he left us. It wasn't brief.

His time with us was due to injuries sadly.

But when he played he was a very good ball hawking corner. We've been lacking that since he left. Don't undersell him here.

Greer and Porter were the best duo the Saints ever had at corner. I'm hoping Butler and Breaux/Williams can rival that. And if they are better then that's a hell of a tandem.

I disagree. It was brief. Not trying to argue though.

He never put together a season like Breaux's 2015 or Butler's 2015 and 2016.

Sign Hawkins and we're set at WR and CB.

Can prioritize DE, LB, and FS.

...and RB imo.

Agreed. Looks like we're not interested in Hawkins though. I'd like to sign a RB & WR in free agency for depth. Maybe even a FS.

I'd like to draft DE at #11...then some combo of LB, S, & TE/RB with #42, #76, & #103(assuming we're giving up #32 for Butler). Good news is that all these positions have good options in rounds 2-3, so we can just sit back and take our targets that fall in our lap. Hopefully we can find legit depth in the 6th & 7th round as well.

Between F.A. & the draft..we still need 2 backup RB's, 1 #4 WR, 1 TE, 1 starting DE, 1 LB, & 1 FS to defend the pass with Bell.

I wouldn't complain about taking a QB or OL, but I'd rather wait until next year.

Hooman will be back this year. Between him, Fleener, and Hill we are good on TE (unless there is very good value in the pick but that goes for all positions).

I don't think we need one this year either, but I'm not so sure CSP feels the same way if one that he's targeted falls right into his lap. I'd put TE in the same category as QB & OL, personally.

All depends on who is at what pick. I don't think we sspecifically target one though, unless Payton gets a man crush.

Adam Schefter reported that the Pats will seek the same pick they traded away to the Saints.

Here's your brilliant post:

quote:

If the Saints get Butler

It would be one of the biggest heist in the history of Bill Belichick's career. They probably won't match the offer. Meaning the Saints would have given up both Cooks, their 118th pick and their 11th pick in the draft for Butler, the Pats 32nd and 103rd pick. When the cooks deal happened nearly everyone talking about the Cooks trade said, you just know that the Pats have something up their sleeves. Lol

So you're telling me we're can get Butler without having to give up the 11th pick? Like everyone except you knew.
