Cheer up. At the very least, you will begin to stink.

Even with the dual artificial stimulants of QE and 0% interest rates, we never experienced one quarter of 3% growth in 8 years.
That's actually false - there were two quarters of over 3% growth. I also think it's funny that people are harping about Obama not hitting 3% growth. Most economists would say that the ideal growth rate for the US economy is between 2-3% and anything over could be cause for concern.
The recovery certainly has been tamer than past recoveries but that's to be expected - we didn't rebound as well because the stimulus completely interrupted the normal economic cycle. We ended the continued decline of jobs and GDP in 2009 AND lost the typical growth after a recession. That's actually the whole point of Keynesian economics.

This doesn'tbreak it down by quarter, but it does by year. Any way you slice it, the economy was pretty stagnant on Obama's watch.

In the 86 years from 1930 through 2015 for which BEA has calculated the annual growth in real GDP, the United States has seen 14 presidents serve in the White House. Of the 13 who served during those years and have completed their service, Hoover is the only who did not see a year in which growth in real GDP was 3.0 percent or better.
President Obama—who was inaugurated in January 2009 and will leave office in January 2017—has not yet seen a year in which real GDP grew by as much as 3.0 percent.

You said no quarters of 3% growth. Your link says years. That's different.

No thanks. If I want to read a sci-fi, I'll read Dune again. It's a better story anyway.

I acknowledged that above, but it's still an abysmal record. I guess you liked Obama's stimulus plan, for example? That thing was a dog with fleas. There are always shovel-ready jobs, but Obama wasn't worried about that. That whole "package" was nothing but a payback to political cronies. Van Jones made a killing off of the so-called stimulus plan.

No, it wasn't. It just was never red-hot. It was consistently adequate and occasionally good. Which isn't what you'd like in a recovery but, again, the stimulus completely changed the rules on recovery expectations.

I think the stimulus should've concentrated more on a fiscal response and relied too much on monetary policy. But the strong response early in the recession was a massive win for the US economy. I don't think people remember how bad the beginning of the recession was - GDP declines were the largest since the Great Depression. Every economist I've read is in agreement that the stimulus saved millions of jobs and prevented many more months of GDP decline.

What about the TYPE of jobs we were seeing on Obama's watch? Weren't they disproportionately service-sector jobs? Who can feed a family on $10-12 bucks an hour? Not that they were all that low.
One of the things I liked about the February jobs report, other than it exceeded expectations for the number of jobs created by about $100K, was that the composition of these jobs was different. Fewer service sector jobs, and more jobs in construction & manufacturing. Even if I didn't like Trump, i would see that as good news.
And, Trump OWNS that February jobs report. The job outlook in this country started to change the night Trump won the election..

I never implied that God couldn't use anyone that he wanted. Only that God could use him as a means to punish us and that Trumps life wasn't consistent with biblical principles.
Judge by the fruits...
It is not for you to judge the man Trumps life. God used Saint Rita as a Saint, study her life-it was far, far, from perfect; as well as many Saints and prophets. Many prophets and Saints in the Bible were ungodly sinners. We are all ungodly sinners. Sometimes God uses people as tools that are far from perfect that have had many wives and sin.
Let's see now. POTUS Trump could turnover the false premise-- R v. Wade. Tell me how that is punishing people? POTUS Trump has the nerve to diss political correctness and declare it is a Merry Christmas again. POTUS Trump put God first in his inauguration. Tell me how that is punishing people?

He talks about some other energy discoveries inside America, too. Let's face it. God had all that beautiful Texas Tea hide from Obama, because God knew the community agitator wouldn't do anything with it, anyway. Besides, God didn't even like Obama (Read Psalm 37:35-36).
As soon as Donald J. Trump was elected, America started winning again. Investment by companies & countries is way up, jobs are increasing faster than expected (the right kind of jobs, too), the ILLEGAL immigrants are being rounded up, and LEO are once again being respected & supported instead of two-bit thug criminals.

Another example of the your hack delusions. The price of oil cratered in 2014 because we were producing too much. Thanks Obama!
