Why? Because you believe everything Dell's office leaks? Do you really think Loomis didn't want to hire a coach who wanted power over personnel or is there another person in the decision making process who wouldn't want that?
Loom needs to act as the owner proxy and lend assistance on negotiations/contracts. They do need a POBO to oversee a new GM.

Yes, but not specifically for the power reason. Guys wanting that kind of power usually come with a high price tag. I think it makes sense for Loomis' criteria to be under $X, previous HC experience and play a style that sells tickets. Mix Demps' desires with Loomis' criteria and you have what we got.
