They seriously couldn't come at a better time. I spend a good bit of my job driving and the amount of people on their phones is mind blowing. The other day I was at Perkins and Essen and couldn't find a single person sitting In traffic around me not staring at their phone. It was a pretty rare moment

It was probably rare to you because at lights you are always looking at your phone and never notice! 
Look around more and you will see more people than not will be looking at their phone, basically anyone under 40 without kids will be doing it for sure.
