I've seen it so many times now I know almost exactly how it's gonna go. They follow a script.

They'll always have an excuse as to why someone else made them do it. Never their fault, and they'll latch on to anyone who will justify their behaviour.

The poor idiot my ex married. She had him convinced the reason she started using drugs is because I abused her. I'm a big guy. I asked him if he was too stupid to think that if I had abused her, where are the hospital and police records? He said, "well she told me you pushed her down the stairs." I informed him that we lived in a one story house.

She never told him about the affair. I did though, and his dumb arse still married her.
