Sounds to me like he has a little psychology of previous investments in his opinions. Basically gave his opinion on how other people's opinions are wrong. I really didn't care for the opinions he gave about clothing. Say I carry a Glock 29 in the small of my back and it works great when wearing casual clothes like jeans and a loose fitting shirt that doesn't need tucking in. However, I'm going to a more formal event where I'll need to wear slacks and a button down, obviously tucked in, so I opt to carry a Sig p238 in my pocket instead. If I can shoot the sig as well as the Glock, even though I'd much rather carry the 10mm, I don't see a problem. I'm not going to walk into this formal event in jeans and a t shirt and draw attention to myself because I need to "dress around the gun".

I know you didn't write the article so I'm not directing this to you. Just giving my opinion on him giving his opinion that everybody else's opinions are wrong.
