The only major highway project on the westbank that I was aware of that had been proposed but then never built was the elevated freeway over marsh land that would've extended Lafitte-Larose Highway (LA-3134) from its current endpoint in Lafitte all the way to southern Lafourche Parish.
Always wondered how Lake Charles ended up getting a bypass loop off I-10, but NOLA and BR never got one despite being so much more heavily populated and having more of a need for it.
