I agree and it's a long season but this team has a bunch of work to do.

From a talent perspective, I don't there are many teams in the country that can top us. From the SP, BP, and lineup DEF/OFF....we have few, if any, holes.

Sure Lange was off last night. Ump established the zone early and Lange could not get it in there consistently. I thought he might come out in the 2d inning dealing with the lead, but walking 8/9 did him in. BP did very well last evening limiting TCU to 3 runs in over 7 innings.

At the plate we need to be more disciplined. Jump on strikes, and let the bad pitches go by. Take a page from TCU's book. They are looking to one spot, their hot zone, and letting others go by. You can see it in their approach. The top of our lineup will be fine, and I like Romero as the DH. Hopefully he will continue to swing the bat well as he would be excellent, IMO, in the #5 spot behind Deichmann. Guys like Smith and Slaughter are only going to get better at the plate with more AB's, especially against SEC P. Need someone in LF to step up at the plate and Pap needs to bounce back today with a solid game. He really looked tentative behind the plate and batting last night.

Tip your hat to TCU and say we'll see you again down the road. Get a great game from Poche today and be smart at the plate. A hard hit ball in play causes good things to happen. GT!
