I'm against it because they are a drain on the economy. They bring crime, poverty, and use a lot of Govt entitlements and resources that are already strained.
They are largely unskilled labor and today's technology based economy requires less and less unskilled labor. Flooding the labor market with unskilled labor leads to low wages and high unemployment which equals more govt dependency.
This is true regardless of the race of the immigrant. I'm all for controlled immigration of educated, skilled people or bringing people over in times of labor shortage. This was our immigration policy for much of the countries history. It's not a new concept. It's a terrible idea to bring millions of impoverished 3rd world people here when there isn't room or work to accommodate them.
All that happens is you get a very expensive group of people to take care of who will then vote for more entitlements because they have no good opportunity to work and provide themselves. Then we eventually run out of money
