Bermuda is mostly out of dormancy now in most of South Louisiana.
I know everybody wants to spray for weeds now but most of the weeds you see today are cool season weeds and will not last till summer especially if you fertilize your yard and mow frequently.
Put high nitrogen fertilizer on now--the cheapest is something like ammonium sulphate or ammonium nitrate. Those are either 33% or 34% nitrogen. I suggest 3 lbs or 34-0-0 per 1000 square feet every 6 weeks or so through the summer.
You may need some P and K and the best way to find out is to send a soil sample to LSU. It is free or almost free. Follow their recommendation from the sample on subsequent applications.
If you fertilize bermuda grass as much as it needs to be you will have few weed problems as they will not be able to compete with the grass. Mow very frequently and keep your blades short.
If you still have weeds May 1 then spray any number of broadleaf weed herbicides.
