Spicer trying to cover up the NYTIMES story about Russian talks
You idiots really gathered that from the press briefing today?
What part of his press conference gave you that impression? Please quote Spicer VERBATIM, then post your interpretation here. We'll all wait.

I don't understand why this administration thinks they can try to cover things up and people won't find out.
Well I don't think spicer was covering anything up per se, but he knew he had zero credibility with the press. So he had to enlist aid.
I find the fact that he did what he did to be a bit of snoozer, although it does appear that there is more to this than they are letting on.

First of all, this is not a coverup when you're disputing false reporting. Second, I see absolutely no problem with this whatsoever.

Pretty soon jjdoc will be the only media operative allowed in the WH press briefing.

Since when is contradicting a report a "cover up"?
If you knew you were innocent, wouldnt you just let the facts fall into place instead of getting defensive and aggressive. Any action at all to scurry or rebut just looks petty and vindictive, but hey this is what we got for leadership now.
