you make it sound like a whole 10 years of not being able to drink is a fair and just punishment for ending an innocent persons life. Her life was ended by his stupidity, he isn't a bad person at all but he did make a big mistake and for that mistake he should pay dearly somehow, she certainly did. 10 years of not drinking, making 1 phone call a day, and spending 1 week a year in jail is not just I dont care what her parents say makes them feel better. We have to instill fear in people somehow. Right now people go out, get trashed and don't care about getting behind the wheel. I never once said ban alcohol, but if you wanna get trashed, you better get in an uber or a cab and not put the rest of us in danger. If you wanna put people in danger then you need a long and harsh punishment.
