Only for the purposes of validating the president's claims. He says they deported a drug lord? Great. who? where?
He says gang members are out? great! what gang? what community is safer due to the gangs being ousted?

They do mean something though. They give validity to his claim. They are supposedly actual people, so it shouldn't be too hard to verify their existence and their crime, aside from the obvious.
