He wasn't found not guilty because he was innocent, he was found not guilty because the prosecution presented the worst case possible.

Innocent until PROVEN guilty.

All the defense team has to do is create reasonable doubt.

And Darden did that for them when he allowed him to try on the glove.

"If the glove don't fit, you must acquit" might sound stupid, but that's all he needed to say.

This! Some of you folks are too young to remember or appreciate just how crazy the trial was at the time and how on edge the country really was anticipating the verdict. The prosecution's case should have been a slam dunk, but they effed it up by allowing people like Mark Furman on the stand. You have to understand, in that era, people had an overall distrust of the LAPD, largely due to Rodney King. Also, the idea of DNA evidence was EXTREMELY new in the forensics world. The defense had no problems poking holes in it as being planted evidence because the LAPD effed up the crime scene and the tech was so new. This case was literally the birth of the 24hr news cycle and we at home were privilege to much more than the jurors ever were. We all remember the highlights like "If it don't fit", even though it was a f*cking leather glove soaked in blood...of course the shite wouldn't fit anymore, even with OJ's obvious acting trying to put the glove on. There were so many missteps by the prosecution, the glove being only one. At the end of the day, OJ walked because the prosecution screwed the pooch, not because he was innocent. If you need any further convincing, read the excerpts from "If I Did It", the guy all but lays out exactly what happened that night.
