you need to go get the results of your MRI. Neurologist don't just take same day referrals from an eye doctor to see if you're crazy. he saw something behind your eyes, likely pressure on your optical nerve from swelling of the nerve or your brain. that's some serious shite.
your writing hints at touches of paranoia, also a possible side affect of whatever is going on with you medically. I think the first neurologist was questioning you that way to see how you would react. when you reacted exactly as he expected, he left so that you would chill out and have the next guy send you for the MRI.
You're not crazy but you could have a serious condition that requires medical treatment.

ps.. papilledema is a condition caused by swelling of the optical nerve or something else putting pressure on the optical nerve. there really is something wrong with your sight and they are concerned its a symptom of a bigger issue.
