Saltgrass like most other chain steakhouses sucks arse. The most money you can ever save is to learn how to cook a steak and run your own smoker. Steak and BBQ are way the hell over priced when you eat out.

I agree that steak houses are too expensive for something done easily at home for much less. But I also agree that Saltgrass will probably be popular because of the aforementioned demand of interest in cheaper steak. Despite my feeling steak is better done at home, tons of people seek it out that there are numerous steak houses in New Orleans. And expensive ones. I think five of top six most expensive from NOLA.com article this week are steakhouses? Saltgrass, Outback, ect won't be as good as Ruth's, Chophouse, Mr. John's, etc but blue collar people want steak too more often than only a super special occasion and they don't want to pay +$97 for a porterhouse for two.
