Problem with Rondo is he can't shoot and the league has moved away from non-shooting guards. We need a PG who can knock down open shots to pull the defense from sagging onto our two monsters in the lane.

Also, Rondo at his peak was an incredibly destructive perimeter defender. He's not at all anymore. He doesn't even really try on defense. So the 2 things we need most out of the other 3 guys we put on the court with Cousins and AD--perimeter shooting and defense--are the 2 things Rondo doesn't do at all. Taking out the character issues, his game is the worst possible fit for our team.

Another benefit to getting Chris to come out of retirement is he's a local and attendance would pick up just from him playing 10 minutes a game.

I know I'd go to every game if he was on the roster. Then again, he's someone I played against in high school, have hung out with at parties (our group of friends in high school overlapped so we often saw each other outside of school and off the court), and have interviewed him twice, once for a biweekly newspaper on the Northshore and once for a sports blog trying to gain some traction. I did the latter as a favor to the blog owner in return for a bunch of links to my various sites.

Point is, I'm very biased but would love to see it happen.
