To Hit Consumers With A Horrible New Tax

Where does it say exactly where consumers are hit with a new tax? I just see a tax on companies that people will do business with. Again, where is "the tax" being levied against the consumers?

You don't think that the tax will be passed on to the consumer? You think that companies are just going to eat that loss? That's not the way that the world works. The costs are always passed on to the consumer.

ETA: It's no different than the asinine idea that raising the minimum wage would help our economy. Raising the minimum wage hurts the middle class because those extra costs are inevitably passed on to the consumer.
