quote:Growing up, I was always a DC guy. I don't know or remember why I didn't do much Marvel, except maybe the places I bought comics didn't feature Marvel as much. Anyway, all I remember from Marvel mostly was Fantastic Four and Spiderman. My loss.
comic book
In today time, I have come to really appreciate the Marvel heroes big time and wish I had really gotten into them as well.
Back then, DC seemed so "clean" and Marvel seemed so "dark and gritty." Exactly why I now wish I'd done more Marvel too.
That being said, of the DC comic heroes, Batman was mostly on my second team of likes - even back then. Him, Green Arrow and Wonder Woman. I bought and read those comics too, but compared with Superman, Flash, Green Lantern, Atom, Hawkman, JLA, Aquaman - the whole second team just seemed eccentric, dated and a little bit over-rated. I did like when Detective Comics included the Martian Manhunter. And I do think Joker was one of the best villains in the DC universe.
But I think CA would win, one on one. Yes, Batman would have all those wonderful toys... but that wouldn't be enough.
