At the atrium this year and I couldn't go. Can anyone please tell me how it was? Enough food? Beer? Event in general?

Didn't have any food vendors like the past, apparently they got pissed after they moved the bash to the casino a few years ago and the vendors weren't allowed to go. They had a buffet for like $12 but I didn't eat there so I can't tell you how it was. Plenty of beer and beverages. They had a few company and merchandise booths. The silent auction had some great stuff as usual. It being back in the atrium was great, but they fricked up the sound pretty bad. You couldn't hear shite unless you were right by the stage. Overall solid bash, I hope they keep it at the atrium from here on out.

Honest truth I had a blast and I hadn't been in several years. We had a table. Went with some good guys and ran into some other friends there.
Was pretty PO'd that the "food," ran out repeatedly for the tables. I got a damn brownie. Literally. Got there just after 12:15pm from work and the lunch food was-literally-gone. I got offered to take a quick tour of the rum distillery they're building by the Atrium a little later and by the time I'd gotten up, ran through there and then sat down, more food had come and it was already gone again.
The interviews were meh but the chance to talk some fooseball with buds was nice. The silent auction was neat to walk around in and check out. The Marvin Wilson announcement was crappy.
But the biggest thing for me was that I wanted to hear Orgeron speak. Dude is legendary for his level of enthusiasm and how hyped he can get folks. Recruits, parents, players, fans, etc.
He was really honestly super subdued. I'm sure Marvin Wilson aggravated him. I'm also pretty certain it was awkward for him to be introducing Jab and Craig knowing they'd get 86'd the next day. Especially in Craig's case.
But still...I didn't get the hype. He ran through a sort've meh speech, cracked a funny joke about hoping the beer was still cold at the beginning and then was gone.
I think the band played longer than he spoke for.
Really disappointed in that part of it.
So, beer - good.
Food - non existent.
Friends - Awesome.
Eaux - Disappointing.
Will go back again next year.

Here's a Coach O speech for you. This is from 2014. He doesn't start talking until around 28 minutes in, but the other guys are talking about him so the whole thing is interesting.

Bayou Bash was very good. Beer was flowing! Food was hit/miss. They did keep running out but they also replenished. It was nice to have guest speakers (athlete's from the past) and gymnastics Coach Dee Dee Breaux was entertaining - she has seen it all in 40+ years. I like the venue and the setup for vendors and the silent auction was nice. CEO didn't hang around long after the event but that's expected. All in all A- rating. Would have been A+ had we gotten Marvin Wilson to commit.
BTW: If you stayed around towards end the t-shirts were going for like 3 for $10.
