And conservative media outlets and conservatives in general will be loudly calling him/her illegitimate.
The results of 2016 show us respect for the person on the other side/other candidates in your party is detrimental to your chances to win. Between the media and politicians, we've established a feedback loop that will continue to fuel the divide. The other team is increasingly the enemy, instead of people with misguided ideas.
