Judge's should not be politically appointed
Look at Roy Moore. He was elected, removed from his position, elected again, and is now suspended.
Maybe this highlights that elected judges are easier to be removed, but it also highlights that the populace didn't care about his conduct, probably because of his political views/

It also makes judges care about election campaign funds. That should raise an obvious red flag when there are certain repeat litigants in certain locations.
