The only way the American public will know for sure is if there is an independent investigation in the matter. It would stand to reason that the American public has a right to know answers to this question. The early signs though point to a Republican cover-up of the matter, so they will probably behave as the rank hypocrites that they are. They didn't have a problem spending more time investigating Hillary Clinton than Congress did investigating 9/11, Pearl Harbor or Watergate, so why can't they do their damn job and get to the bottom of Trump's ties to Russia in a way that the public can fully understand them? Hell, they won't even make that lying, Russian dick-sucking Trump release his tax returns.
