I'll throw in one side of these stories. A lot of times the lawyers front a lot of the cost of class action suits.
You should see what happens when the outcome doesn't work out. One of the post Katrina cases wiped some lawyers out. The plaintiffs probably not nearly as fricked as those guys.

It's not the attorneys fault companies can dick over the consumer that results in a billion dollar settlement.
Y'all make it sound like the attorneys filed the law suit went to lunch and then got a check for 200 million. Class actions aren't exactly a non contested divorce.
