re: Wow, didn't know the 9th circuit has an 80% reversal rate at the Supreme Court

Again, so no other people are confused, it varies year to year and it only involves cases that the SCOTUS actually takes. The SCOTUS takes less than 1% of the cases that come out of the 9th circuit each year, and even then, they are usually only taking them because they want to reverse them.
ETA: The SCOTUS has lately been reversing a ton of qualified immunity (immunity for officers who violate your rights) and environmental cases out of that circuit. The 9th likes to hold police accountable for fricking with citizens rights; the Supreme Court? Not so much.

That's just nonsense.
The is median is 68 percent (even including the 9th circus).

That's even more telling. Perhaps they are taking the Brennan philosophy of looking at rights even way beyond the "penumbras and emanations" thing. THey need to be slapped down in that case.
However, given yesterday's ruling, the state of Arizona would have a case in being able to enforce immigration law on its own....since states now have standing when it comes to immigration issues which heretofore was the purview of he federal government and the Executive Branch.
